Welcome to Blastball!

Blast Ball is the FIRST division of RMMBA baseball!!

If your child is born in 2018, then this is the division for you in the 2023 Spring Season. Blastball is focused of the FUNdamentals of baseball. Every player gets a chance to field all positions and bat everywhere in the line up. We focus on learning the skills of the game, while having fun and being part of a team environment.

Players hit off the tee and can only run one base at a time. We use a softer ball for safety, so all kids can learn to throw and receive without developing a fear of the ball.

You will play at approximately 5:45-7pm Tuesdays and Thursdays at various Ridge Meadows school fields. Season starts first week of April and is approximately 10 weeks long. You will play an opening day, Skills Day in May and end of year day in June, all on Saturdays. Beside these three Saturdays, it is ALWAYS just every Tuesday and Thursday. Your association provides all the field gear, bats and schedule. Your child will need a glove, helmet, cleats and a positive attitude.

Registration is usually full so sign up early to avoid disappointment.

Important Dates for Spring Season:

Finalized Team Formation: March 1st

Pre-Season - March 19- March 31; meet and greets, practices.

Official Season Start - April 1

Opening Day / Photo Day - April 15

Junior Skills Day = May 27

Blast Ball Final Games = June 5-8

Players need a glove, bat, cleats, a helmet with chin strap, and baseball pants. Balls, shirts, hat and all other field equipment will be provided.

Most importantly, with your registration, you are becoming a member of a 100% volunteer run organization. You MUST volunteer to keep the league running. We will be running a Coaching clinic and meeting in February/March, so make sure you sign up to Coach or Assistant Coach early. If you are unable to coach, there will be a full list of volunteer opportunities provided. On the field, coaches need to focus on coaching, parents need to focus on keeping the kids safe, in line, ready to bat, get the gear, field prep and take down. You should never see your coach setting up or taking down or cleaning up after practice. It is not a lot of work if we all do our part, but it is an overwhelming amount of work when it falls on just a few people.

Looking forward to seeing everyone on the field!
